Less than a week after taking part in a meet-and-greet with the Broadway press corps, Heather Graham has departed the cast of Neil LaBute's The Money Shot, an off-Broadway production of MCC Theater, to pursue a sudden film opportunity. Deadline reports that Graham unexpectedly received the opportunity to direct Half Magic, a film she wrote and in which she will also star.

Graham will be replaced in her role by Elizabeth Reaser, who last appeared on stage in Second Stage Theatre's revival of How I Learned to Drive. Her many screen credits include the Twilight series of films and the television series The Good Wife.

The Money Shot follows a pair of glamorous movie stars who, with their respective partners, must decide whether or not to go ahead with the filming of a steamy love scene for their new flick. Directed by Terry Kinney, the comedy also stars Frederick Weller, Callie Thorne, and Gia Crovatin.

Performances are scheduled to begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre September 4 in advance of a September 22 opening. The production will run through October 12. Click here for more information.
