Glen Hansard Helps Broadway's Once Celebrate 1,000 Performances

The Oscar winner joined the cast onstage to sing a special encore finale.

Glen Hansard, the Academy Award-winning songwriter behind Once, joined the cast of the Tony-winning Broadway musical version at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on August 13 to help celebrate the show's 1,000th performance.

Hansard and the cast, led by Paul Alexander Nolan and Jessie Fisher, performed a pair of folk songs following the performance, to the delight of the audience.

Once opened on Broadway on March 18, 2012, after an off-Broadway run at New York Theatre Workshop.
