Karen Ziemba and Jonny Orsini Set for Off-Broadway Premiere of Almost Home

Full casting has been announced for The Directors Company's upcoming world premiere off-Broadway production of Walter Anderson's Almost Home. Directed by Michael Parva, the production will play the Acorn Theater on Theatre Row from September 12-October 18.

Almost Home will star Joe Lisi (Take Me Out), James McCaffrey (Rescue Me), Jonny Orsini (The Nance), Brenda Pressley (The Lyons), and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Bullets Over Broadway). The creative team includes Harry Feiner (scenic design), Graham Kindred (lighting design), Michael McDonald (costume design), Quentin Chiappetta (sound design), and Leah J. Loukas (hair and wig design).

In Almost Home, a young Marine named Johnny returns home to the Bronx and discovers that he is caught between his parents' dreams for the future and a police captain with plans of his own. Playwright Anderson, a former Marine sergeant and Vietnam veteran, served for three decades as the publisher, chairman-CEO, and editor in chief of Parade Magazine.
