Reed Birney and Margaret Colin to Star in Dennis Kelley’s Taking Care of Baby at MTC

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that it will continue its 2013-2014 Steinberg New Play Series season with the American premiere of Tony winner Dennis Kelley’s Taking Care of Baby, which will begin previews on November 5 and open November 19 at New York City Center – Stage II. Erica Schmidt (Humor Abuse) will direct.
The cast of Taking Care of Baby will feature Reed Birney (Picnic), Margaret Colin (The Columnist), Kristen Bush (A Touch of the Poet), and Tony nominee Amelia Campbell (A Streetcar Named Desire), with additional casting to be announced in the coming weeks.
This new play explores the elusive nature of truth and the depths we’ll go to expose it in the wake of the shattering of a family and an accusation of murder.
The creative team includes Laura Jellinek (scenic design), Jessica Pabst (costume design), David Weiner (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).
