Whoopi Goldberg to Return to FOX’s Glee

Broadway veteran and The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg will return to the hit FOX series Glee, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She will once again play Carmen Tibideaux, the dean at New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, the fictional New York drama school that Rachel (played by Broadway veteran Lea Michele) will be attending.

Goldberg is currently represented on Broadway as the producer of Sister Act and co-starred in the show’s West End production. She received a Drama Desk and Theatre World Award for her 1985 Broadway solo show Whoopi Goldberg, and has also starred on Broadway in Xanadu, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Whoopi.

She has won numerous awards during her career, including the Academy Award for her work in Ghost, a Daytime Emmy for her work as co-host of The View, and a Grammy Award.

The Season 4 of Glee will begin on September 13.
