Wallace Shawn, Maggie Siff, Jennifer Tilly Set for Theatre for a New Audience Season

Theatre for a New Audience has announced the selections for its 2013 Season.


The season will begin with Arin Arbus’ production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing staring Maggie Siff, to run February 2-April 13 at The Duke on 42nd Street.


Up next will be the New York premiere of the Young Vic’s Kafka’s Monkey, based on A Report to an Academy by Franz Kafka and adapted by Colin Teevan, to run April 3-17 at Baryshnikov Arts Center. The production will be directed by Walter Meierjohann and star Olivier Award winner Kathryn Hunter.


It will be followed by Samuel Beckett’s Fragment Texts, directed by Peter Brook & Marie-Hélène Estienne, to run April 21-May 5 at Baryshnikov Arts Center.


The season will conclude at the Public Theater with the Wallace Shawn-André Gregory Project, for which Gregory will direct two of Shawn’s plays: The Designated Mourner (June 21-August 25), which will star Shawn, Larry Pine, and Deborah Eisenberg, and Grasses of a Thousand Colors (October 8-November 10), which will star Shawn, Emily McDonnell, and Jennifer Tilly.
