Vital Theatre Company Announces 2012-2013 Family Programming Season

Vital Theatre Company has announced its 2012-2013 family programming season.

The season will open with the world premiere of Susan DiLallo and Danny Abosch’s Fancy Nancy the Musical (September 29-November 12), based on the book series by Jane O’Connor, in which Fancy Nancy and her friends are going to be performing in their very first show. For the holiday season, Vital Theatre Company will present Susan DiLallo and Ben Morss’ Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical (November 17-January 13), which is based on the characters created by Katharine Holabird. Direction and choreography will be by Sam Viverito.

In the new year, Melissa Maxwell will direct the world premiere of Show Way (January 19-March 3). With a book by Melody Cooper and music and lyrics by Tyrone L. Robinson, Show Way is the story of seven generations of women who pass quilts from daughter to daughter. The season will close with Rick Hip-Flores and Ben H. Winters’ A (Tooth) Fairy Tale (March 16-April 28), a silly adventure filled with shiny quarters, sugary candy, and learning who you’re really meant to be, directed by Linda Ames Key.
