Tony Shalhoub to Join Chris Smith and Kal Penn for Rob Greenberg Comedy

Stage and screen star Tony Shalhoub is set to join Chris Smith and Kal Penn for Rob Greenberg’s upcoming comedy pilot for CBS, according to Deadline.
The new show is to center on a young man who moves to a new rental complex where he meets more experienced guys such as Gil and Frank.
Gil will be played by Kal Penn, Shaloub will play Frank, and the central character will be played by Chris Smith.
Shalhoub has been seen on Broadway in The Heidi Chronicles, Conversations with my Father, and The Odd Couple. He has also appeared in the films Big Night, Cars, Men in Black, and the television series Monk, for which he is a three-time Emmy Award winner.
