Lucie Arnaz to Perform as Part of Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts 2012-2013 Season

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts has announced programming for its 2012-2013 season.

Among the highlights will be An Evening with Lucie Arnaz, to be presented Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 8pm. The Broadway veteran — daughter of showbiz royalty Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball — will present a concert featuring new arrangements of favorite standards by Gershwin, Ellington, and Porter, as well as Latin tunes made famous by her father and showstoppers from her Broadway career.

Theater-related shows will also include The Velveteen Rabbit (November 11); The Snow Maiden (December 22); How I Became a Pirate (January 6); The Little Prince (January 27); Sleeping Beauty (March 10); Tales of Anansi (April 13); Fiddler on the Roof (April 14); Amadeus (April 21); and Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music (May 19).

Additional programming will include Metropolitan Klezmer & Isle of Klezbos (November 4); The Ultimate Sounds of Doo-Wop and Street Corner Harmony (November 17); The Shaolin Warriors (November 25); Christmas in the Caribbean with The University Singers (December 15); The Colonial Nutcracker (December 16); The Freddy Cole Quartet (March 16); The Beauty of Ballet (March 17); Sixth Annual National Grid Earth Day Celebration (April 13); and United States Military Academy Band (April 28).
