Line-up Announced for Metropolitan Opera’s Live in HD Summer HD Festival

The Metropolitan Opera will begin its annual Summer HD Festival of free outdoor screenings of ten titles from the organization’s Live in HD series on August 25. All screenings take place in Lincoln Center Plaza.

The schedule features Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch’s production of The Enchanted Island featuring Plácido Domingo and Joyce DiDonato (August 25 at 7:30pm); Michael Grandage’s Don GIovanni (August 26 at 7:30pm); Mary Zimmerman’s La Sonnamblua with Natalie Dessay and Juan Diego Florez (August 27 at 8pm); and McDermott and Crouch’s Satyagraha (August 28 at 7:45pm).

Titles also include Salome with Karita Mattila and Juha Uusitalo (August 29 at 8pm); La Cenerentola (August 30 at 7:45pm); Des McAnuff’s Faust (August 31 at 7:30pm); Bartlett Sher’s production of Le Comte Ory with Florez, DiDonato, and Diana Damrau (September 1 at 8pm); David McVicar’s Il Trovatore (September 2 at 8pm); and McVicar’s Anna Bolena with Anna Netrebko (September 3 at 7:30pm).

More than 3000 seats will be available each evening on a first-come, first-served basis with no tickets required. There are no rain dates.
