Broadway’s Dead Accounts, Starring Katie Holmes, to Now Open November 29

The Broadway premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy
Dead Accounts, to begin previews on November 3 at the Music Box Theatre and originally slated to open on November 28, will now open one day later on Thursday, November 29.

As previously reported, the play will star Katie Holmes and Norbert Leo Butz. Three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien will direct.

In the comedy, Jack (Butz) mysteriously returns home with a lot of money and without the wife that everyone in his family hates. His sister Lorna (Holmes) needs answers.

Additional casting and a design team for the five-character work will be announced in the future. Dead Accounts is produced by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish, and The Shubert Organization.

Butz received Tony Awards for his performances in the musicals Catch Me If You Can and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. His additional credits include How I Learned to Drive, Wicked, Fifty Words, Speed-the-Plow, and The Last 5 Years, among many others.

Holmes previously appeared on Broadway in All My Sons. Her many film and television credits include Batman Begins, The Ice Storm, Dawson’s Creek and The Kennedys.
