Stage and screen star Bradley Cooper is considering bringing the Williamstown Theater Festival‘s recent production of Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man to Broadway next fall, the actor told Extra, according to reports.

Cooper played John Merrick, a deformed man, through his life from the star of a Victorian freak show to his days as the toast of London high society.

The production was directed by Scott Ellis and co-starred Patricia Clarkson, Shuler Hensley, Scott Lowell, Alessandro Nivola, Marguerite Stimpson, and Henry Stram. No mention was made of anyone else’s participation.

Cooper appeared on Broadway in Three Days of Rain and starred in Williamstown’s production of The Understudy. His many upcoming films include Hit & Run, The Words, and The Hangover 3.
