Astoria Performing Arts Center Season to Feature Blood Brothers, Billy Witch, and New Musical by Galt MacDermot

The upcoming season at Astoria Performing Arts Center will feature a world premiere by Gregory S. Moss, a revival of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, and a new musical by Hair composer Galt MacDermot and Timothy Murphy.

The season will open on November 1 with Moss’ Billy Witch. Running through November 17, the work explores the life-altering experiences which can only happen at one place: summer camp. The production is directed b y Erik Pearson, with choreography by Wendy Seyb.

On February 8, APAC will present MacDermot and Murphy’s Gone Tomorow, directed by artistic director Tom Wojtunik. The musical looks at today’s society through the eyes of contemporary pilgrims from the South Pacific island, Tomoro.

Blood Brothers, the 1983 Olivier Award-winning musical about a pair of separated siblings who become friends not knowing they’re related, will close the season in May, under Wojtunik’s direction.
