Stage veterans Stephen Colbert, Will Ferrell, and Olivia Wilde were among the winners of the 2011 Do Something Awards, which were announced on a VH1 telecast, hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch.

The ceremony honored and celebrated the nation’s best young world-changers who represent the pivotal “do-ers” in their field, cause or issue, as well as celebrities who have inspired young people.

Ferrell was named “Do Something Comedian” while Wilde was honored as “Do Something Movie Star.” Colbert, along with Jimmy Fallon, was awarded “Do Something Couple.” In addition, Glee was named “Do Something TV Show.”

Among the other celebrity award winners were Tyra Banks, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, Sophia Bush, and Demi Lovato.

The organization’s top honors were awarded to 18-year-old Sarah Cronk of Bettendorf, Iowa, who received a grand prize of $100,000 for The Sparkle Effect, the first high school-based inclusive cheerleading squad in the nation.
