An initial lineup of participants for the 15th annual Broadway Blessing, to be held on Monday, September 12 at 7pm at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, has been announced.

Blessing, a program conceived and guest produced by Retta Blaney, is a service comprised of song, story and dance.

Among the participants will be Richard Maltby, Jr. offering a reflection on theater, Natalie Toro performing the song “Where Is It Written” from Yentl, and Tony Haris delivering a new song by Phil Hall, written specifically to honor the event’s 15th anniversary. In addition, the ceremony will feature Project Dance, and the Broadway Blessing Choir, conducted by Daniel Beckwith, will perform a number of musical theater hits and lead the audience in a “sing-a-long” at the end of the program.
