Radio Star Mike Gallagher to Perform Cameo in Broadway’s Memphis

Nationally syndicated radio star Mike Gallagher will perform a special cameo appearance in the Broadway production of Memphis, at the Shubert Theatre, from Tuesday, September 6 through Sunday, September 11.

Gallagher will open the show with an expanded cameo part written by book writer Joe DiPietro.

Directed by Christopher Ashley and featuring choreography by Sergio Trujillo, Memphis, is based on a concept by George W. George and has a book by DiPietro and music and lyrics by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.

Set in the segregated South of the 1950s, the show follows the fictionalized life story of white radio disc jockey Huey Calhoon, who falls in love with both rock & roll and an electrifying black singer, Felicia Farrell.
