PHOTO FLASH: Foreigner’s Kelly Hansen and Journey’s Neal Schon Visit Broadway’s Rock of Ages

Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen and Neal Schon, lead guitarist and founding member of Journey, attended a recent performance of the Broadway production of Rock of Ages, at the Helen Hayes Theatre. The legendary ’80s rockers met backstage with the cast following the performance.

Rock of Ages focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers, including those of both Foreigner and Journey.

The musical’s book is written by Chris D’Arenzio. Kristin Hanggi has directed the production, which features choreography by Kelly Devine.

The company includes MiG Ayesa (Stacee Jaxx), Adam Dannheisser (Dennis), Dan Domenech (Drew), Rebecca Faulkenberry (Sherrie), Mitchell Jarvis (Lonny), Cody Scott Lancaster (Franz), Michele Mais (Justice), Josephine Rose Roberts (Regina), and Bret Tuomi (Hertz); as well as Tessa Alves, Emily Williams, Ericka Hunter, Jeremy Woodard, Andre Ward, Jennifer Rias, Tony LePage, and Joey Calveri.
