One Night With Fanny Brice to Close Off-Broadway

Chip Deffaa’s One Night With Fanny Brice will play its final performance at St. Luke’s Theatre on Saturday, August 20. Kimberly Faye Greenberg stars in the musical bio of the Ziegfield Follies star, which Defaa has written, arranged and directed.

The show chronicles Brice’s rise from rather humble origins to her international acclaim as an entertainer, who could both deliver broad comedy numbers and dramatic torch songs. The show features many of the songs Brice made famous, including “Rose of Washington Square,” “My Man” and “Second Hand Rose.”
