Stage actors Darren Criss, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Natasha Lyonne have joined the cast of the upcoming film Imogene, according to Movieweb.com. As previously reported, the movie will star Kristen Wiig and also feature Annette Bening.

The film, which is written by Michelle Morgan and directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, is about a playwright (Wiig) who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend (Criss), only to end up forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother (Bening). Lyonne will play Allyson, a Jersey Shore girl, and the love interest of Fitzgerald’s character. Also cast in the film is June Diane Raphael.

Criss will be taking over the lead role in the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and is best known as Blaine on Glee. Fitzgerald is a two-time Tony nominee for the Broadway productions of Young Frankenstein and Finian’s Rainbow. Lyonne’s many stage credits include Blood from a Stone, Tigers Be Still, Love, Loss and What I Wore, and Two Thousand Years.
