Ashley Brown, Cheyenne Jackson, John Tartaglia, et al. Set for NY Pops’ 2011-2012 Season

The New York Pops has announced its 2011-2012 season for Carnegie Hall.


The schedule begins with Irving Berlin: Rags to Ritzes (October 14), to be conducted by Jack Everly and feature performances by Ashley Brown, Tony DeSare, James T. Lane, Hugh Panaro, and Natasha Yvette Williams.

Also on the Pops’ schedule are Cheyenne Jackson’s Cocktail Hour Music of the Mad Men Era (November 18), which will feature tunes from the 1950s and 1960s; John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Wish You a Swingin’ Christmas (December 16-17); Patti Austin Sings Ella Fitzgerald’s Gershwin Songbook (March 16); and Hollywood Award Winners, an evening of Academy Award-winning scores and songs. Steven Reineke will conduct the performances.


In addition, the Pops will present two performances of Jim Henson’s Musical World on April 14 as its Carnegie Hall Family Concert. Reineke will also conduct this event which will feature John Tartaglia as a guest performer.
