Arian Moayed, Kelli O’Hara, Sam Waterston, et al. Set for Public Theater’s King Lear

Updated casting has been announced for the Public Theater’s production of William Shakespeare’s King Lear, to run October 18-November 20. James Macdonald will direct the production.

In addition to Sam Waterston in the title role, the cast will feature Che Ayende (Duke of Burgundy/Knight/Servant), Craig Bockhorn (Doctor), Michael Crane (Oswald), Enid Graham (Goneril), Herb Foster (Old Man/Curan), Seth Gilliam (Edmund), Michael Izquierdo (King of France), Arian Moayed (Edgar), Michael McKean (Gloucester), Kelli O’Hara (Regan), John Douglas Thompson (Kent), and Richard Topol (Albany).


The production will feature scenic design by Miriam Buether, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, and sound design by Darron L West.
