Andrew Kober, Sally Wilfert, Alex Wyse, et al. Set for York’s Reading of Yo, Vikings! Musical

Jeffrey James Binney, Serena Brook, Andrew Kober, Alyse Alan Louis, Tori Scott, Marcus Stevens, Emma Tattenbaum Fine, Sam Tedaldi, Sally Wilfert, and Alex Wyse will perform in a reading of the musical Yo, Vikings! Jason Blitman will direct the reading, which is part of York Theatre Company’s Developmental Reading Series, and will be presented Wednesday, August 3 at 7pm.

Featuring book and lyrics by Marcus Stevens with music by Sam Willmott, the piece is based on Judith Byron Schachner’s award-winning book of the same name and the true story that inspired it. It tells the mini-saga musical of Emma Katz, a spunky and passionate little girl who is assigned to report on Erik the Red for World Discovery Day, and begins to channel her inner Viking, setting off on a fantastic adventure of self-discovery.

Music direction will be by Joseph Church.
