Alan Ayckbourn’s Neighbourhood Watch will be featured as part of this year’s Brits Off-Broadway Festival at 59E59 Theaters, to run November 30 – January 1. The production, directed by the playwright, will transfer from its world premiere at the U.K. Stephen Joseph Theatre.

The play centers on a couple who, after being the newest victims of a crime wave that’s plaguing the development into which they’ve just moved, resolve to take matters — and the law — into their own hands.

Ayckbourn received a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award in 2010. His plays include Intimate Exchanges, Private Fears in Public Places, and My Wonderful Day, all of which have been seen at 59E59 Theaters, as well as The Norman Conquests trilogy, Bedroom Farce, Absurd Person Singular, A Small Family Business, How the Other Half Loves, and Taking Steps.
