92YTribeca Announces Fall Theater Events

92YTribeca has announced theater events to take place in Fall 2011.

Author Julie Salamon will discuss her book Wendy and the Lost Boys, about the late playwright Wendy Wasserstein, on Thursday, September 8 at Noon. Playwrights Horizons will sponsor a panel discussion with playwrights Itamar Moses, Kirsten Greenidge, Jordan Harrison, Leslye Headland, Dan LeFranc, and Gina Gionfriddo, moderated by journalist Michael Schulman on Monday, September 12 at 7:30pm.

Dylan Brody will perform his one-person story-telling show, More Arts / Less Martial on Wednesday, September 14 at 9pm. theater director Barrie Gelles will conduct a six session class entitled Know the Show: An Inside View of the Fall Theater Season, beginning Tuesday, September 27.

Jeffrey Ernstoff will lead Rodgers and Hammerstein at Noon on Thursday, October 20, which takes a celebratory look at one of Broadway’s and Hollywood’s most prolific partnerships — composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein — including live performances, intriguing anecdotes and insider’s insights about their work. Biographer James Curtis will discuss revered screen actor Spencer Tracy on Wednesday, November 2 at Noon.
