York Theatre Company Announces Cast for Musical Reading of Ken Sutherland's Lippi

By Dan Bacalzo • Aug 12, 2010 • New York City
The York Theatre Company has announced casting for a reading of Lippi, as part of its developmental reading series, to be held at the Theatre at Saint Peter's on Thursday, August 19 at 3pm. The reading is directed by Tod Booth with music direction by Eugene Gwozdz.

Featuring book, music and lyrics by Ken Sutherland, the show is a larger than life portrayal of a Renaissance man who actually was larger than life. Fra Filipo Lippi, raised and ordained in the church, lived a life of excesses that put him at the foot of the gallows.

The cast will include Philip Bentham, Bradley Campbell, Joe Cooper, Seth Grugle, Tom Grugle, J. Alan Hanna, Jim Johnson, Neil Mowles, Hollis Scarborough, Kristin Spires, Bruce Wermuth, and Kim Whalen.
