New York City's Irish Arts Center will present Dublin playwright Gary Duggan's Trans-Euro Express, September 16-October 3 as part of the 1st Irish Theater Festival. Chris Henry will direct.

The play tells the story of a 9-5 worker who dreams of being a filmmaker and runs away to join a singer-songwriter, an actress and an artist on a mission to shoot a debut music video. Trans-Euro Express will be Dugan's second play to be performed in the U.S, following his short play The Mission, which came to the States in 2008.

The cast will include the previously reported Roderick Hill, along with Katy Wright Mead, Charlie Kevin, and Patricia Buckley.

The 1st Irish Festival is New York's only all-Irish theater festival and will feature plays by 16 Irish playwrights. The festival will run from September 7 to October 4.
