Rocky Horror Picture Show to Get Special Blu-Ray Release on October 19

A special Blu-Ray edition of the cult film musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, will be released by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on October 19, according to Hollywoodnews.com.

The movie, written by Richard O’Brien, stars Tim Curry as Dr Frank n Furter, a self-proclaimed “sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania” who gives shelter to a lost couple (played by Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick) on a cold, rainy night.

The new edition will include numerous extras and new content including “Rocky-oke: Sing It!,” a “Picture-In-Picture Shadowcast Performance,” a vintage callback track, and audio commentary. For a limited time, the Blu-Ray edition will be packaged in a collectible 24-page book featuring legendary photography from Mick Rock.
