On Monday, August 2, Anthony Rapp, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, John Tartaglia, Liz Callaway, Karen Mason and the Camp Broadway Kids performed in Free To Dream: The Songs of Katsaros and Schermerhorn at Joe’s Pub. Steven Reineke hosted and conducted the concert.
Grammy-winning composer Doug Katsaros and Emmy-nominated lyricist William Schermerhorn have been writing songs for national audiences as part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, and other notable events. The songs performed included “Free to Dream,” “It’s All About Tonight,” “Beneath a Summer Sky,” “Gift of Light,” and “Sing Another Day.”
All proceeds from the concert benefit The New York Pops’ music education programs.
