Margo Singaliese and Jay Smith will star in Christina Masciotti’s Vision Disturbance, at the Abrons Arts Center, September 1-18. Richard Maxwell will direct.

In the play, a middle-aged Greek immigrant woman (Singaliese) living in smalltown Pennsylvania loses her vision while going through a divorce from her traditional, Greek husband. The stress has detonated an eye disorder that features a loss of depth perception among other perplexing symptoms. She seeks treatment from a doctor (Smith) who uses an unorthodox approach involving music therapy to help her regain her eyesight.

The creative team will include Adrian W. Jones (set and lighting), Tory Vazquez (costumes), and Ben Williams (sound).
