Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin Added to Scream 4 Film

Stage and screen stars Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin will appear in the film Scream 4, according to published reports. The roles they will be playing have not been confirmed, although it is likely they will be making celebrity cameo appearances.

As previously reported, original Scream cast members David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will reunite for the film, which will also feature Adam Brody, Rory Culkin, Erik Knudsen, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Marley Shelton and Nico Tortorella. Wes Craven will direct the movie, which will have a screenplay by Kevin Williamson. Filming is currently underway in Michigan.

Bell starred on Broadway in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Crucible as well as in the Off-Broadway musical and Showtime film version of Reefer Madness. From 2004 through 2007, she played the title role in the TV series Veronica Mars, and is also well known for her role as Elle on television’s Heroes. Her upcoming films include Burlesque and You Again.

Paquin won a Theatre World Award for The Glory of Living and a Drama Desk Award for The Distance from Here; her other stage credits include After Ashley and Roulette. Paquin won the Oscar for The Piano. Her other film and television credits include Amistad, Hurlyburly, The Member of the Wedding, All the Rage, The Squid and the Whale, X-Men, and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. She will be seen next month in the film The Romantics with Katie Holmes, and is well known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s True Blood.
