Jay-Z, Sean Combs Top Forbes List of Hip-Hop Earners

Musician and Fela! producer Jay-Z tops Forbes magazine’s list of Hip-Hop’s top earners with $63 million.

The music mogul, whose real name is Shawn Carter and who is married to superstar Beyonce Knowles, scored a huge hit this year with “Empire State of Mind,” his duet with Alicia Keys.

Sean Combs, who starred in the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun, placed second on the list with $30 million.

Rounding out the magazine’s list of top 10 earners were Lil Wayne, Dr. Dre, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West.
