Classical Theatre of Harlem Announces Cast for Radha Blank’s Seed

The Classical Theatre of Harlem has announced casting for its production of Radha Blank’s Seed, to be presented at the Harlem School of the Arts, August 4-19. Niegel Smith will direct.

In the play, burnt-out social worker Anne Colleen Simpson decides to write a book detailing the child welfare case that brought her acclaim. But when Chee-Chee, a gifted ten-year-old from the last “projects” in Anne’s gentrified neighborhood, collides with her life, she is forced to confront the shadows of her past.

The cast includes Bridgit Antoinette Evans, Nikiya Mathis, Warner Miller, Tremayne Rollins, and Pernell Walker.

The production features lighting design by Colin Young, set design by Tim Mackabee, costume design by Emily DeAngelis, sound design by Lugman Brown, projection design by Kate Freer, and prop design by Pam Traynor.
