City Center Announces Comprehensive 2010-2011 Season

New York City Center has announced its comprehensive season, which will include the newly announced engagement of Flamenco Hoy, by Carlos Saura, to run February 16-20. The piece will be choreographed by Rafael Estévez and Nani Paños and feature musical direction by Chano Dominguez. The venue will also be home to the Paul Taylor Dance Company February 22 – March 6. Among the company’s offerings will be the new Phantasmagoria and a revival of Orbs.

Other offerings at City Center will include the previously announced Fall for Dance Festival to run September 28 – October 9 and the special event Career Transition for Dancers, which will be hosted, as previously reported, by Angela Lansbury.

City Center will continue the Encores! series during the coming year with presentations of Bells are Ringing, Lost in the Stars, and Where’s Charley? (click here for additional details) and offer a return engagement of Matthew Borune’s production of Swan Lake, to run, as previously announced, October 13 – November 7.

Manhattan Theatre Club will continue to produce at the venue, offering such productions as Beau Willimon’s Spirit Control and Alfred Uhry’s Carl’s Sister, among other previously reported offerings, and the Pearl Theatre Company will begin their previously announced season with Anton Chekhov’s The Sneeze (September 17 – October 31).
