Alfred Preisser and Tracy Jack’s Black Nativity Now to Play Theatre at St. Clements

Alfred Preisser and Tracy Jack’s Black Nativity Now will play a limited Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at St. Clement’s, December 3-January 2. Cast and creative team will be announced at a future date.

This holiday gospel pageant is set inside a fabulous show-biz church in the midst of the famed and scabrous landscape of Times Square, as the show tells the story of the birth of Christ.

Presided over by a pastor heavily influenced by the likes of James Brown and supported by a choir of singers and dancers who perform musical sets infused with gospel, pop, funk, and soul, Black Nativity Now is the universal journey of our search for salvation and “peace on earth.”
