Wayne Brady will host a new version of the long-running game show Let’s Make a Deal, which will debut on CBS on October 5, according to published reports.

The show, which will replace the daytime drama Guiding Light, will retain the original program’s premise of audience members trying to win cash and prizes by making deals. Monty Hall, the original series’ host, will be a consultant.

Brady played the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway revival of Chicago. He has had a long-running show in Las Vegas and is scheduled to also open the New York Pops season in October at Carnegie Hall. He won the Emmy Award for his own talk show, The Wayne Brady Show, and was nominated three times for his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?
