Trevor Nunn’s recent production of Stephen Sondheim’s and Hugh Wheeler’s A Little Night Music, which concluded its London run in July, will open in December at a Broadway theater to be announced, according to a press announcement. No casting has been confirmed.

First seen on Broadway in 1973, the show — which is based on Ingmar Bergman’s Smiles of a Summer Night, concerns a glamorous actress, Desiree Armfeldt, who reconnects with her old flame, Frederik Egerman, who is now married to a much younger woman.

Nunn’s many directorial credits include Cats, Les Miserables, Rock n’ Roll, Oklahoma, The Woman in White, Arcadia, Porgy and Bess, and The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby.
