On Monday night, JoAnne Akailitis’ production of
The Bacchae opened at the
Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Among the many celebrities on hand were two Shakespeare in the Park veterans,
Will Swenson, who plays Berger in the Broadway revival of
Hair, and his gal pal, four-time Tony Award winner
Audra McDonald, who played Olivia earlier this season in the Park in
Twelfth Night.
