Anthony Mackie, who is currently starring in the Public Theater’s production of The Bacchae, has been cast in George Nolfi’s thriller The Adjustment Bureau, opposite Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, according to Variety.

The film, to be adapted from Philip K. Dick’s short story, centers on a smooth-talking congressman whose political future is thrown in doubt by the arrival of a mysterious ballerina in his life.

The trade paper is also reporting that Broadway veterans Josh Lucas and Terrence Howard will star in Little Murder, to be written by Gerald DiPego and directed by Peter “Gaga” Antonijevic.

The film, which will co-tar Lake Bell, centers on a disgraced detective, who gets an unexpected shot at redemption when the ghost of a beautiful cellist solicits his help in finding her killer.

Howard starred in the recent revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof while Lucas appeared opposite Jessica Lange in The Glass Menagerie.
