Maury Yeston has penned three new songs for the movie version of the Tony-Award winning musical Nine, according to a report in Variety. The film, which is directed by Rob Marshall, is scheduled for release on November 25.

The musical, based on Federico Fellini’s 8 ½ focuses on Guido Contini, a movie director and the myriad women in his life, to be played by Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis.

“Guarda la Luna, is a lullaby performed by Sophia Loren, who plays Contini’s mother; “Cinema Italiano,” is sung by Kate Hudson’s character, Stephanie, who is an editor at Vogue; and “Take It All” is performed in the film by Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard, who plays Luisa, the director’s long-suffering wife.

The movie also stars Penelope Cruz as Carla, Nicole Kidman as Claudia, Judi Dench as Liliane LeFleur, and Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) as Saraghina.
