Marcia Gay Harden to Be Honored at This is Tisch! Gala

Tony Award and Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden will be among the honorees at the Tisch School of the Arts’ gala This is Tisch!, to be held at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Monday, November 2. The event will be produced by Ken Davenport and directed by Stafford Arima. Proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships.

Other honorees will be Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer, arts philanthropist Diana King, and Sheila Nevins, president of HBO Documentary Films. Scheduled presenters include Tony Kushner, Spike Lee, and Sir Howard Stringer.

Harden won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for God of Carnage, which resumes performances next month after a brief hiatus. She previously appeared on Broadway in Kushner’s Angels in America. She won the Academy Award for her portrayal of the artist Lee Krasner in Pollock.
