MacIntyre Dixon Joins Off-Broadway’s The Fantasticks

Broadway veteran MacIntyre Dixon will join the company of The Fantasticks on August 17. Dixon will assume the role of Henry, replacing John Thomas Waite, whose final performance is August 16.

Dixon most recently appeared on Broadway in Cyrano de Bergerac. Other Broadway credits include Gypsy (with Bernadette Peters), Prelude To A Kiss, 1776, and 3 Penny Opera. Dixon has also appeared off-Broadway and in films such as School of Rock, In & Out, and A River Runs Through It.

The Fantasticks, with music by Harvey Schmidt and book and lyrics by Tom Jones, is a romantic comedy about a boy and girl who fall in and out of love at the hands of their meddling fathers. The company also includes Lewis Cleale, Tom Flagg, Gene Jones, Addi McDaniel, Michael Nostrand, Evy Ortiz, Richard Roland, Steve Routman, Jonathan Schwartz, and Douglas Ullman, Jr.
