The Irish Arts Center (IAC) has announced programming for its fall 2009 season.

Guitarist and former member of the group Solas John Doyle will work with singer-songwriter Andy Irvine as part of the organization’s Masters in Collaboration series, and the results will be presented September 11-13. Next up will be Roger Guenveur Smith’s Frederick Douglass Now (September 16-October 25) to be presented in rotating repertory with another solo show, The Cambria, Irish writer/performer Donal O’Kelly’s play about the abolitionist’s historic trip to Ireland.

If It Wasn’t For the Irish and the Jews (October 24), a tribute to the Irish and Jewish influences in vaudeville and Tin Pan Alley will be presented at Symphony Space. The concert will feature Mick Moloney, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, Liz Hanley, and Billy McComiskey.
In addition, IAC will also present a concert from The Cathie Ryan Band (October 30-31) and An Irish Christmas (December 10-20), a concert of traditional music and holiday favorites, among other programming.
