Horse Trade Theater Group Announces 2009-2010 Season

Horse Trade Theater has announced their 2009-2010 Season, which will include productions from various companies in four different spaces; UNDER St. Marks, The Brick, The Red Room, and The Kraine Theater.

The Management will present MILKMILKLEMONADE at UNDER St. Marks, September 10-26, a play about gay children, a parasitic twin, an antagonistic grandmother, a depressed chicken, and our growing bodies. The Assembly will stage The Dark Heart of Meterology at UNDER St. Marks, September 22-October 14, a presentations by lonely traveling weatherman Franklin Elijah White. Horse Trade will collaborate with The Brick Theater for PunkRock/LoveSong at The Brick, September 30-October 3, featuring original music by Dan Beeman of Helmet. The BE Company will mount Muddy The Water at The Red Room, October 1-10, about an elicit scandal at New Hope Baptist Church, a prominent church in Kansas City.

Radiotheatre’s The Haunting: Return to 85 East 4th Street will play at the Kraine Theater, October 11-December 26. Clay McLeod Chapman’s The Pumpkin Pie Show will take the stage at UNDER St. Marks, October 15-31, filled with bedtime stories for adults. Wreckio Ensemble’s Bail Out: The Musical will also play at UNDER St. Marks, December 10-19, about a motley group of New York performers who try to write a musical in 48 hours to get federal funding. Dysfunctional Theatre Company will present 8 Reindeer Monologues, December 9-19, a re-imagining of Jeff Goode’s modern Christmas classic. Barefoot Theater Company will bring Scrooge & Marley, Israel Horovitz’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol, to the Kraine Theater, December 10-24.
