Glenn Close to Host Fountain House’s Under My Hat Benefit

Glenn Close will host and perform at Under My Hat, a benefit for Fountain House, to take place at 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 29 at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. She will be joined by Sarah Jones.

Fountain House is an organization that works on reducing the stigma associated for mental illness. The piece Under My Hat has been written specifically for this event.

Close has won Tony Awards for Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden, and The Real Thing and also appeared in the Broadway musical Barnum. A five-time Oscar nominee, her numerous film credits include The World According to Garp, Fatal Attraction, and Dangerous Liaisons. She currently stars on the FX series Damages. Jones is best known for award-winning solo show Bridge & Tunnel and will appear later this season in MCC Theater’s production of Beth Henley’s Family Week.
