Erin Mackey and Michelle Federer Join Broadway’s Wicked

Erin Mackey will play Glinda and Michelle Federer will portray Nessarose in the Broadway production of Wicked, at the Gershwin Theatre, beginning August 11 and 18, respectively.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel of the same name, Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

The cast also includes Dee Roscioli as Elphaba, Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

Mackey, who will be making her Broadway debut, has previously played her role in the Chicago and Los Angeles productions of the musical. Her film and television credits include The Parent Trap, Do Over, and Family Affair. Federerer originated her part on Broadway, with other New York credits including Three Days of Rain, Boys Life, In The Absence of Spring, Anon, and A Man of No Importance.
