Elaine Stritch to Star in New Play, White’s Lies

Tony Award winner Elaine Stritch will star in an upcoming Off-Broadway production of Ben Andron’s play White’s Lies, scheduled to play New York in Spring 2010. Additional details will be released at a later date.

The play focuses on Joe White, who is handsome, charming, has a great career as well as a killer smile that manages to land him a different girl every night. But his life changes when his firecracker of a mother tells him that she’s got cancer and her dying wish is to have a grandchild.

Stritch has appeared in such Broadway shows as Bus Stop, Sail Away, Company, A Delicate Balance, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and her multi-award winning solo show Elaine Stritch: At Liberty. She has appeared at the Cafe Carlyle, and her film and television credits include September, Monster-in-Law, and 30 Rock.
