The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of God of Carnage, at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre, will host a special benefit for the Purple Rose Theatre of Chelsea, Michigan, on November 7.

The play, directed by Tony winner Matthew Warchus, is about a schoolyard dispute and its aftermath. As previously announced, the show is currently on a summer hiatus, and will re-open on September 8. The entire Tony-nominated cast — Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini, and Marcia Gay Harden (who won the Tony for her performance)– are contracted to perform through November 14.

The benefit evening will include preferred seating at the show, as well as an exclusive party at Sardi’s, where benefit guests will mingle with all four of the play’s stars. Funds will benefit Purple Rose, which was founded by Carnage cast member Daniels.

To purchase benefit tickets, call the Purple Rose at 734-433-7782 or e-mail info@purplerosetheatre.org. For more information on the show, visit www.godofcarnage.com.
