Patti LuPone at Les Mouches to Receive November 11 CD Release

Ghostlight Records will release Patti LuPone at Les Mouches, a digitally-restored recording of the star’s legendary 1980 solo nightclub act, on November 11.

During her run in Evita, LuPone spent six months performing Saturday midnight concerts at the New York club after her shows. Her selections varied nightly, but included an eclectic mix of songs ranging from “Because the Night” and “Mr. Tambourine Man” to such Broadway show tunes as “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” “Rainbow High,” and “Meadowlark.” A complete track listing will be announced shortly.

LuPone is currently appearing in the Broadway revival of Gypsy, for which she received the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, and many other honors. She received her first Tony for Evita. Her other Broadway credits include Sweeney Todd, The Robber Bridegroom, Anything Goes, The Old Neighborhood, and Noises Off.
