Michel Gill will play the role of Duke of Norfolk in the Roundabout Theatre’s revival of Robert Bolt’s A Man for All Seasons, which begins performances at the American Airlines Theatre on September 12, with an opening set for October 7. Gill replaces the previously announced Michael Siberry, who will join the Broadway cast of Monty Python’s Spamalot in the role of King Arthur.

As previously announced, the production — to be directed by Tony winner Doug Hughes — will star Frank Langella as Sir Thomas More and feature Hannah Cabell (Margaret More), Michael Esper (William Roper), Zach Grenier (Thomas Cromwell), Dakin Matthews (Cardinal Wolsey), George Morfogen (Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop), Patrick Page (King Henry VIII), Maryann Plunkett (Alice More), Jeremy Strong (Richard Rich), Charles Borland (Jailor), Peter Bradbury (Steward), Patricia Hodges (Woman), Triney Sandoval (Thomas Chapuys), and Emily Dorsch.

The creative team will include Santo Loquasto (sets), Catherine Zuber (costumes), David Lander (lighting), and David Van Tieghem (original music/sound).

Gill, who will be making his Broadway debut, has appeared Off-Broadway in The Milliner, Speaking in Tongues, A Winter’s Tale, Naked , Othello, Lincoln Portrait, Da Caravaggio, and Coyote Ugly.

The Roundabout’s 2008-2009 season will also include revivals of Pal Joey, Streamers, and Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, as well as the New York premiere of Lisa Loomer’s Distracted, starring Cynthia Nixon.
