Manhattan Children’s Theatre Announces 2008-2009 Season

Manhattan Children’s Theatre (MCT) has announced the performance schedule for its 2008-2009 season.

The season will open with Peter & The Wolf, September 13-November 9, Hummie Mann’s adaptation of the musical tale by Sergei Prokofiev with lyrics by Allison Gregory & Mann, and Bruce Merrill at the helm. Laura Stevens will direct Kristin Walter’s adaptation of Elves & The Shoemaker by The Brothers Grimm, November 15-January 4. Gene Zion’s book, Harry the Dirty Dog, will take the stage in an adaptation by Karen Abbott, January 10-February 22.

Nancy Schaeffer’s adaptation of Laura Numeroff’s If You Give a Pig a Party, February 28-April 12, will take the stage with music by B. Wolf; and the season will close with the MCT world premiere of Stanley’s Adventures, April 18-May 16, based on Linda Bailey’s books, Stanley’s Party and Stanley’s Wild Ride, with text by Bill Slavin.
